— Approach
At the foundation, when taking on new collaborations, we look for like-minded folks with big ideas and genuine love for what they do. Everything flows from that initial connection. As people, more so than designers, we’re firstly lovers of culture, art and knowledge. Through travel, music, food and nature, we’re constantly absorbing ideas that filter through to our work.

We revel in the discovery of every project as an opportunity to reveal something new and unseen. Through divergent research, inspired ideation, immersive solutions and long-lasting bonds with our collaborators, we always aim to create something human, relatable & contemporary. This output has led us to flexibly work across projects big, medium and small in scope, industry, budget and reach.

And on a less serious note; if you can guess the song reference in our studio name, this may also give you an insight to our (terrible) sense of humour.



— Team The studio is led by work & life partners, Dane Kerr and Kasia Ilczyszyn (and their rescue dog, Ela.) It’s a small, hands-on team, meaning you’re working directly with the people behind the design.

We can proudly handle a tonne of specialised tasks in-house but if needed, we also have a trusted network of talented collaborators to call upon in web development, illustration, photography, animation, production and more, allowing us to deliver enriched outcomes to your project.

Outside of studio practice, Dane and Kasia have taught Communication Design at Monash University. Susu Studio also operates Footscray Office Of Design – a shared creative hub in the heart of Footscray.
